VOLUNTEER AT A TRAIL ESCAPE EVENT AND GET A FREE ENTRY FOR THE FOLLOWING YEAR!
We currently need support for :

Bristol-to-Bath, 27 September 2025
We need people to help support our runners and hikers on each Trail Escape route.
At Trail Escape we like to hold gates open for our participants. We want to point out tricky sections of the route and be in place for way-finding.
We need people who are up for marshalling in all weathers with a smile and loud voice!
In return you will receive:
Requirements are to attend a pre-briefing / Q&A session and be available for the duration of the shift.
*Please note, we cannot provide accommodation for these roles and can only accept people who can travel to the event on the day.
We ask that you bring warm clothes and suitable footwear for the trails.
Check the weather forecast and bring appropriate clothing.
If it is raining, we advise waterproof shoes or boots and a waterproof jacket. If it is warm and sunny, bring a hat, sunglasses and wear sunscreen.
Please also bring a refillable water bottle with you, filled.
Drinks and snacks will be available to our volunteers throughout the shifts.
All volunteers must be 16 on the date of the event to volunteer. If anyone under 16 wants to volunteer, they must be accompanied by an adult who has also signed up to volunteer.
Of course, as long as they sign up to volunteer too!
We will be in touch with all volunteers after event day to offer you the chance to select the event of your choice in 2025 or 2026.
The roles do not require any previous experience. We will provide you with all the information you need to fulfil your volunteer role on the day. All you need is a positive can-do attitude!
If a role requires a certain amount of stamina or distance to walk to the position, we will make that information available at point of role allocation so you do not get given an unsuitable task!
We will need volunteers at various times of the day, at various locations according to the role.
Some roles at the start and finish will be easily accessible by public transport.
